These shades are designed for smart home and office environments, offering 100% blackout capabilities, cordless operation, and wireless remote control.

• 100% Blackout Fabric: Textured fabric with a waterproof back layer for complete privacy and energy saving. Ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, and media rooms.

Enables voice control, group control, and percentage control. A 2.4GHz Zigbee hub is available for connection with other Alexa models and Google Assistant.

3. Measurement Guide

Accurate measurements are crucial for a perfect fit. Please follow these guidelines carefully.

3.1 Inside Mount Measurement

For inside mount, the shades fit within the window frame. Measure the exact width and height of the window opening at three points (top, middle, bottom for width; left, middle, right for height) and use the smallest measurement. Also, measure the frame depth to ensure sufficient clearance.

The Graywind Motorized Roller Shades come with all necessary mounting hardware. Ensure the program button and charging hole are facing the ground before installation.

2. Mark the drilling points for the brackets using the shade itself or precise measurements.

5.2 App Control (Graywind APP)

For Bluetooth motor solutions, control your shades directly via the Graywind app on your smartphone or tablet. The app allows for percentage control, setting top/bottom limits, and displaying battery status.

Graywind shades offer smart control options through voice commands.

• Zigbee Motor: Directly compatible with Echo Plus (2nd Gen), Echo Show (2nd Gen), Echo Studio, Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen), and Echo (4th Gen) without an additional hub.
• Bluetooth Motor: Requires a 2.4GHz BLE hub to connect with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control and advanced routines.
• Plug Solution: Works with 110V-240V Wi-Fi motors, no hub required for App control and Alexa/Google connection.

6. Charging (Rechargeable Smart Motor)

For shades with a rechargeable smart motor, follow these instructions for charging.

• Locate the charging port on the motor head, typically on the side facing the room.
• Connect the provided charging cable to the motor and a power source.

• Optional solar panels are available for continuous charging, reducing the need for manual charging.

  • Check your Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.
  • Ensure the Graywind app or Alexa/Google Home app is updated to the latest version.
  • Re-discover devices in your smart home app if the shade is not appearing or responding.
• Shade Stops Mid-Way or Does Not Reach Limits:
  • The motor's limits may need to be reset or reprogrammed. Refer to the motor's specific programming instructions.
  • Ensure there are no obstructions in the shade's path.
  • Check battery level; low battery can affect motor performance.
• Excessive Light Gap (Inside Mount):
  • Inside mount shades inherently have small light gaps due to hardware space (approx. 0.6" on motor side, 0.4" on idle side).
  • If the gap is larger than expected, re-verify your measurements and installation.
  • Consider outside mount for maximum light blockage.
